Essential Travel Products Equal Hassle Free Flights

My essential travel products include Shampoo, Conditioner and Bug Repellent.

If you’ve ever been on an airplane you know how tedious getting through security can be. You stand in line, sometimes for hours as passengers in front of you are repeatedly told to dump their liquids.

In most cases, an airline allows passengers to bring a quart-sized bag of liquids. This includes aerosols, gels, creams and pastes – in your carry-on luggage. These essential products are limited to travel-sized containers – 100 milliliters (3.4 ounces ) or less each. 100 ml is not large by any means and often times not enough shampoo or conditioner for your travels. Add to this those tiny bottles ending up in a landfill site, ocean or beach somewhere around the world.

What if I told you this could all be avoided? No more hassle over liquids at the airport and no more wasted containers.

I recently discovered three new, must-have, travel products. A revolutionary solution to the liquids issue.

The Solid Bar Company

Shampoo, conditioner and bug repellent in solid bar form. No more liquid. From now on I’m travelling with The Solid Bar Shampoo, Conditioner and Awesome Bug Repellent.

Specially formulated to luxury, quality standards these all natural and organic products are effective. They really work.

I found these products while living on the island of St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. I’ve personally been testing the shampoo, conditioner and bug repellent for two weeks now and I am amazed at how well they work.

Before I get into my review of the products let me introduce Rebecca, founder of The Solid Bar Company. I met Rebecca by chance one day and during our conversation I found out she is a qualified horticulturalist and aromatherapist by trade. Now she has developed a whole range of organic, hand-made, eco-friendly luxury care items with no harsh chemicals.  This was the hook and I had to try them.

My Essential Travel Products

Herbal Shampoo Bar

essential travel shampooExtremely simple to use it is a water-less shampoo. Simply rub it onto wet hair or lather up in your hands and apply.

With added pro-vitamin B5, hydrolyzed protein and BTMS 50 for improved elasticity, manageability and shine – this is essential for me.

Suitable for all hair types even my color treated hair. I love the earthy, herbal fragrance and the squeaky clean feel.

This product is 100% vegan, biodegradable, sulfate, paraben and SLS free, containing no petroleum products or synthetic fragrances.

Herbal Conditioner Bar

Suitable for all hair types it left my hair feeling very soft. I received complements after using this conditioner.

It is also biodegradable, sulfate, paraben and SLS free, and no petroleum products or synthetic fragrances have been added.

My fine hair tangles easily and goes frizzy in tropical climates. With the added pro-vitamin B5, hydrolyzed protein and honeyquat this conditioner was effective in moisturizing and reducing the frizz. I was able to comfortably pull my brush through after rinsing.

Using it as a shave cream is easy too – just glide the bar over skin and shave as normal. My legs felt soft and silky.

Awesome Bug Repellent Bar

essential travel bug repellentThis essential repellent really works for sand flies and sand fleas (noseeums) and mosquitoes. The lemongrass scent is pleasant and not overpowering.

Not only is it natural, deet free and 100% vegan, it is concentrated and completely water-less. Meaning, no heavy liquid and no loss of product that is typical of a spray. By rubbing the bar directly on my skin none of it is wasted.

As with any repellent I would reapply as necessary especially if you’ve been swimming or sweating. I won’t be the one standing in line at the airport after my vacation with those awful angry looking red bites on my legs.

I asked Rebecca about the packaging. Currently they are using aluminum containers which are highly and continuously recyclable. However, they are looking to use a more natural bamboo or other sustainable, natural package in the near future. The plastic that is used in the packaging is biodegradable.

All of The Solid Bar products are available to purchase on their website. They ship to both Canada and the United States. I’m certain that these products will revolutionize the travel industry and be available world wide in no time. Check out the creators, Nicholas and Rebecca’s story – it’s an interesting read!
